CREATING A SPACE FOR CHANGE

‘Creating a space for change’ is an invitation to alter our thinking through a change in awareness. Facilitated through spiritual wisdom embedded in the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the philosophies underpinning modalities such as Qigong, Yoga Nidra and Meditation.

Creating a space for change occurs through being more aware of your authentic self and its connection with ‘Oneness’ and Love.

Simply Being supports clients in a complementary way with their integrated, functional or holistic medical treatments by integrating body and soul.

Simply Being represents how it provides ‘medicine’ for the Spirit and Soul in its logo. It reflects this consciousness of connectivity and awareness, inspired by the three key shapes from Traditional Medicine; the circle and square.

THE CIRCLE

A perfect circle is almost impossible to produce unaided by human hands. In Chinese culture, the circle signifies “fulfilled”, “oneness”, “perfection” and “unity”. A circle is also perceived as mysterious and the shape of the unknowable; the heavens.

The circle represents the Dao, which is often described as “the path” or “the way of life”. Dao is the natural order of the universe whose character one’s human intuition must discern to realise the one’s potential. This intuitive knowing of “life” cannot be grasped as a concept; rather it is experienced through the living experience of everyday being – Simply Being.

THE SQUARE

The square, on the other hand, with its straight lines and sharp corners, represent laws and regulations therefore, the realm of human kind. It is a stable structure and firmly grounded; the earth.

The Five elements

The circle and square represent heaven and earth.  The human being resides between the two and is influenced by the Five Elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood.  These five elements or phases are multidimensional aspects of life through which we as humans adapt and change, express our emotions and fulfil our life’s purpose.

So the logo represents the consciousness of oneness and connectivity grounded in the relative structure and stability of earth, made aware, adapted and created through the integrated mind, body and spiritual aspects of the Five Elements.

THE PENTAGON

The pentagonal shape represents the relationships within the Five Elements through which the medicine is applied and the Circle and Earth interrelate.

Simply Being reflects this consciousness of connectivity and awareness.

Simply Being reflects this consciousness of conectivity and awareness. A consciousness of Oneness enableswisdom and insight to effectively address the root cause of conditions instead of continually fixing isolated problems.

It’s all about energy

The healing modalities offered by Simply Being, encourage clients to care for their deepest self.
The modalities focus on the person’s subtle and ethereal energy systems.

The modalities are interdependent and comprise of: Those that increase the quantity and quality of the vital energy (referred to as Qi) using aspects of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and those that improve the quality of the ethereal energy systems that transfer their nurturance to the physical body. Both modalities provide ‘medicine for the Soul and Spirit’.

THE ASPECTS OF TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE ARE:

THE ASPECTS OF ENHANCING ETHEREAL ENERGY SYSTEMS ARE:

These modalities are integrated using the HOPE consultation. The HOPE consultation was designed by Dr Wayne Jonas to enhance healing.

The outcomes of the modalities are enhanced by walking the Labyrinth. Simply Being has a labyrinth in its premises and clients are invited to make an appointment to walk it.

The modalities provided by Simply Being complement western medicine treatments.

The integrated modalities offered by Simply Being are represented in the Soul Medicine Model.

The mission is to assist people with an intention to experience
their authentic self & realise their purpose in life.

Simply Being provides the integration of body and soul.  It does so by providing ‘medicine’ for the Spirit and Soul.

Reconnecting with the soul.  Often in serious illness or medical intervention, the soul can feel separated from the body, leaving you feeling incomplete and lacking a core that will assist you in your recovery.  While there is no disease category that relates to the soul being penetrated by trauma or stress; yet you feel it – perhaps in your spirit. Soul and spirit medicine can assist you to recover your sense of well being while navigating the labyrinth of treatments and challenges.

Plato around 400 BC noted that ‘that the great error of our day is that in the treatment of the human being, the physician separates the soul from the body.   His lament was no doubt referring to the deviation from the practices the Physician Priests some 2000 years earlier in ancient Egypt.

The insular behaviours referred to by Plato reinforce that fact that care for the body can either overlook or be at the expense of caring for one’s deeper self.

This dichotomy is reinforced by the terms curing and healing.  While often used interchangeably, their meanings are different and reinforce Plato’s concerns.  Curing involves the elimination of evidence of disease. Healing means becoming whole. Healing can occur without a cure and curing can occur without healing.  The paradox of healing is that what we think heals, often does not, yet almost anything can heal.

An approach that integrates the body and the soul unlocks the healing capacity within each of us that can lead to recovery, health and feeling of well-being.

Modern western medicine with its advances in curing through progress in technology and molecular science can squeeze out the essence of healing.  This essence has been referred to as the placebo response. Studies have revealed the power of such response, particularly when it has meaning for the patient.

Dr Wayne Jonas in his book ‘How healing works’ identified that 20% of healing comes from the doctor and the treatment, while 80% comes from the unique response of the patient.  Not unsurprisingly this response has been referred to as the ‘inner healer’.

Some researchers believe the ethereal body can bring healing power to the physical body and the physical body can bring healing power to the ethereal body.  Dr Khalsa argues that this view introduces artificial distinctions. We are all one, in body, mind and spirit.
